Coesa Spring – Text of Narration
Finally, we come to Coesa Spring, one of the park’s original 18 springs preserved since the park was founded in 1910. Once a popular stop on a trolley line, Coesa Spring was a major attraction until the 1960s. The water is known for its high saline and alkaline content, with over 12,000 parts per million of dissolved solids, including sodium chloride and calcium. Today, Coesa bubbles up in Coesa Pond, offering a quiet reflection of its once-prominent role in Saratoga’s history.
